I hope to learn some interesting facts about customer service in this country and others. I have been in customer service oriented jobs for about 10 years now but mostly in restaurants and retail so I want to also learn about the differences in customer service related to Information Systems management. No special requests.
I dont really have any expectations for this class. I am just here because they schedule me for it. I would much rather be learning programming or something. Sence I have to be here I hope i get a better understanding why some customers are so dumb. At least at my job they are.
During my career in the navy I have mostly dealt with the internal customer. I know many of the skills are transferable, but I would have to say I want to learn more on working with the external customer.
I have never worked strictly in the customer service field before, so I would like to learn how to handle myself when it comes to irrate people, as we heard tonight. Also, learn what is the correct thing to say to a customer and what is not.
I really do not have much expectations for this class. This will be a way for me to understand customer service relations. Maybe this will turn out to be something better as the weeks go by. My question is why some students in my field are not taking this class?
I am looking foward to learning some tricks from this class. We use customer service everyday in so many ways. I look foward to learning the differences people have when it comes to customer service. I hope to take with me some things that I never knew and to use them in my current job and also to use them in my future job that I am going to get once I graduate from here. I also think that I will try for the certification since it will be something that I can include in my resume.
My expectations for CIS102 are to gain some insight into what is needed to provide good customer service. It is a pet peeve of my when I receive poor customer service. Maybe I will become a better customer in the process.
My expectations in this class are to gain my customer service skills and provide me with the knowledge to succeed in my field of study. I know that in networking i will need these skills as I will be working as a help desk analyst to support end users.
I expect to learn all sorts of things about customer service, but i dont enjoy lectures and powerpoints so im not foreseeing a very enjoyable experience, special requests would be to change those.
I don't have many expectations for this class, I'm only in this class because it is required for my BS degree. I already have customer service working in a resturant and I also have help desk experience at Dendrite.

I sort of follow the same trend as Tonya, in regards to me being here. I'm only in this course because it's required to be in here. In regards to experience, I've worked with customers exclusively at Laser Quest and at GameStop.
I also agree with Mr. David. Powerpoints and lectures aren't that awesome.

At the most I am hoping to learn enough of the business side of things instead of the production and repair end of things to make a final decision on whether to change my major to a business degree program or stick with my IT program. At the least I intend to learn enough to pass and come 3 credits closer to graduating and getting out of this school.
From this class, I hope to improve my current customer service skills. I have worked with customer service for 3 years, and by taking this course, the skills and knowlege I gain will add to the success of my future career.

My expectations:

My expectations for this class would be able to open my eyes to the difficulty with customer services. To learn with different jobs and scenarios it comes with different resolutions. I just want to be able to get more experience handling day to day situations.
My expectations is to learn more about the helpdesk field. Even get a job to get some hands on experience because some of networking and security focus with technical support. That's all i can think of for now.

I feel that taking this class will familiarize me with more current information on communcating with others and just being more open minded with understanding different cultures and how we all communicate with one another.
My expectations are to add a little to my vast knowledge of customer service...and also get an A. All joking aside I do want to learn more about the more technical based side of customer service. And I hope to have some fun in here.

I just finished 5 1/2 years with Radio Shack and I have 2 1/2 years of marketing research telephony under my belt but I'm hoping to find something new and useful in the class. --B. Sawyer
I aim to better serve customers in many ways. I aim to become a better listener while striving to answer questions and concerns in a speedy, but more accurate fashion. I will then take what I will learn and apply it to all aspect of dealing with people.
I intend to take from this class the knowledge of all levels of customer service. As a student here I should be filled with the knowledge also of how to deal with all types of people in all sorts of enviroments. Not too much.

I have no expectations for this class. I find that if you expect things then you open yourself up to disapointment.
